About I am inspired by the natural world; by its intricacies and by its sweeping statements. Art for me is the joyful process that happens when I learn something new about the natural world. I make things because I am exhillarated by cells, growth, composting - by an ever growing list of edifying things. More importantly, though, I make things to worship the God whose glory sparked cells and planets and creativity. I am energized by the exuberance of natural growth. Most of my larger work is sparked by broad, sweeping impressions of outdoor spaces. Most of the smaller things I create emerge from an intimate appreciation of seeds and sprouting branches. I am energized by positive ideas, sustainable social action, and constructive movements of change. I see problems in the world around me, and I believe that my part is to foster and plant solutions that will continue to bear fruit.
